As known as safety glass, tempered glass is a type of pre-press glass. To enhance the strength of glass, physical methods are used to form some press on glass surface. When glass is under taking outside force, the surface press will be counteracted firstly that means better bearing capacity.
Strength
Compares with normal glass, temper glass has better strength and security. It is 3-5 times stronger for bending resistance, 5-10 times stronger for impact resistance.
Security
A better bearing capacity also means the improvement of frangibility. Even tempered glass is broken,, there will not be sharp edge fragment. The performance of anti-quick heating and quenching for tempered glass is 2-3 times stronger. Normally it can take more than 150LC temperature changing. It is a good way to prevent thermal breakage.
